One of my favorite parts of my job as an interior designer is working with textiles. That’s why I’m beginning to share some of the palettes I create on Instagram, tagged #FabricFriday.
(Full disclosure, friends, I’m far from a social media connoisseur… but am working on it. So I’m brand new to Instagram but I’ll be sticking with it, because it turns out to actually be kind of fun!)
My first #FabricFriday share is the palette below, which I created recently on a hot summer day, while dreaming of cooler temperatures. I call it “Winter Woods.” I incorporated cozy winter fabrics like cashmere and velvet, mixed in some lighter linen and natural wovens, and thought of birch tree bark with that white cork wall covering. I love to mix nature and sophistication in a textural palette like this one.
