Have you been to Jewels On The Bay in previous years, or is it time for your first visit? This year, two for-sale homes are on display, freshly designed by twenty-five local interior designers who volunteered their time and talent designing the rooms throughout these Granada Park homes.
Our team had the pleasure of designing a bedroom for the Stapleton House, adjacent to the McKenzie house. Spend a morning or afternoon in this peaceful neighborhood perusing the beautiful interiors of both these coastal-themed homes and enjoy a glimpse of Sarasota’s local design talent. Funds raised through ticket sales, and merchandise sales (the rooms are shop-able!), directly support the Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota.
The show is in its final week now, running through Feb 18th. For more information visit the website: http://www.designershowhousesarasota.com.
The guest bedroom we designed, the first at the top of the stairs, started out with beige walls and an oversized ceiling fan. We saw instant potential with the wide, white window trim and tropical views from the large windows of the palm trees swaying in the wind. Our first order of business was to paint the walls a deep, sophisticated color to contrast with the white trim. In person, you’ll see the paint finish is a velvety matte finish, adding to the beauty and complexity of the color.
A custom designed canopy backdrop is this bedroom’s centerpiece, with integrated reading lights for cozy evenings. Upon entering the room you’ll feel an instant sense of calm, surrounded by a serene finish palette with a private view of lush palm trees.
A big thanks to Sarasota Herald-Tribune for featuring our room on the front page of the Jan 21st Sunday Real Estate section. We hope to see this final week of the Designer Showhouse filled with visitors enjoying design and supporting the Boys & Girls Club!
Cheers!
