Our team specializes in construction-intensive, residential and commercial interior design projects, and we love what we do. ARI is growing, and looking for an experienced, knowledgeable interior designer with a positive attitude and exceptional communication skills to join our team in the role of Interior Design Project Manager specifically for luxury residential projects.

Key duties include:

  • Operate in both a design and project management role, as leader of assigned projects
  • Delegate tasks with clear direction and feedback to junior team members.
  • Design custom millwork and other special features
  • Direct, and contribute to, the drafting of construction documents for detailed custom interiors using AutoCAD software
  • Select furnishings, finishes, and fixtures appropriate to the design style and client needs under general direction of Principal Interior Designer
  • Interface directly by phone and e-mail with clients, contractors/builders, architects, and engineers ensuring timely and collaborative communications are maintained
  • Visit project sites during construction and review work in progress to ensure consistency with design intent and project goals
  • Schedule project team tasks, in-house progress check-ins, and completion of deliverables in order to meet the broader project schedule
  • Provide direction during procurement phase to in-house Procurement Coordinator

Required qualifications:

  • 6+ years professional experience working in a full-service interior design or architecture firm
  • Passion for high-end residential design and detailing
  • Proficiency drafting for construction documents in AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with clients, contractors, and consultants
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and oversee other team members
  • Solid understanding of construction principles and processes
  • Currently authorized to work in the USA
  • NCIDQ Certification strongly preferred

Additional details: This is an on-site (non-remote) position. Schedule is full-time, Monday-Friday. We believe our work should support wellbeing, and overtime hours are not a regular part of our culture.
