INTERIOR DESIGN ASSOCIATE, mid to senior level

Angela Rodriguez Interiors is growing and looking to add an exceptional interior designer to complement our team.

In this role, the designer will:
Serve in a primary design role on assigned projects, under the direction of Principal Interior Designer
Work competently in all phases of assigned projects, from concept through construction and installation
Draft construction documents for detailed custom interiors using AutoCAD software
Select furnishings, finishes, and fixtures appropriate to the design and client needs
Give clear direction and feedback to a supporting team member/(s) in order to achieve great results as a team
Interface directly with clients, contractors/builders, architects, and engineers
Visit project site and be point person for contractor/client questions during the process of construction/renovation

Depending on experience and professional background, the designer may be assigned to luxury residential projects only, or a mixture of luxury residential/commercial/hospitality projects

What we're looking for:
5-10 years experience at an interior design or architecture firm (retail experience not applicable)
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design (Associate's Degree + professional experience will be considered)
AutoCAD proficiency is a must
NCIDQ Certification is preferred
Professional experience in all stages of a construction-intensive interior design project
Knowledge of design and construction concepts/terminology common to custom interiors
Sophisticated design aesthetic consistent with that of the firm
Ability to receive direction, and to work well with others as well as independently
Commitment to delivering outstanding design and thoughtful solutions for our clients
Positive attitude and great communication skills, both oral and written
